This year we decided to kick off our Christmas preparations with a Belgian getaway. The plan was to meet our friends in Brussels, and we were definitely not disappointed. The city was beautifully decorated, with lights and a festive atmosphere everywhere. It was so nice to just be together, take long walks through the illuminated streets and finally spend time with each other again.
The beautiful medieval buildings in the city center were dressed in Christmas decorations, and the main square entertained us with a light show. A huge crowd was milling around the streets, everyone was in a festive mood, enjoying the play of lights with mulled wine, waffles or the famous Belgian fries in their hands, while Christmas music was playing.
